OPEN WINERY IN HARVEST TIME

In September/October, the fragrances of the grapes and must welcome wine lovers in Movimento Turismo del Vino cellars. It is the moment when wineries come alive with incessant work in the vineyards for the selection of the best bunches of grapes, an enchanting time to visit vineyards, participate alongside winemakers in the harvest and the first phases of production. To better welcome wine lovers, the wineries organize special events such as art exhibitions, shows, concerts and much more.

CANTINE APERTE 2018

The 26th and the 27th of May our winery will be open from 3.00 untill 8.00 PM in occasion of the 26th edition of CANTINE APERTE.

During the day we will offer a tasting of 3 of our organic wines, paired with local foods and a tasting of our Extravirgin Olive Oil.

The visit at the vineyard and at the winery will start at 3.30 and 6.30 PM.

Thebarbecue will start at 6.00 PM.

During the days we will show the new project: “Notti Divine”

The tasting of 3 wines will cost 15€ per person included glass, the partecipation of children is free.

At the end of the second evening we will extract the winner of a magnum of Sassocupo.

HARVEST PERIOD: September - October. VINIFICATION: The grapes are vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel where they naturally also undergo malolactic fermentation. AGING: In oak barrels for 12 months. 12 months in bottle. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14% vol. PRODUCTION: 4,000 bottles. SERVING TEMPERATURE: 15 ° C. COLOR: Intense, impenetrable ruby-red. It stains the glass walls, where it is formed a row of narrow legs that slide very slowly. AGING: 3 months in steel barrel, 2 months in bottle. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12% vol. PRODUCTION: 4000 bottles. SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10˚C. COLOR: pale pink, a color between rose petal and onion sink. NOSE: at nose is fruity with strong notes of rose petal and white currant. TASTE: at taste is fresh and soft. It has a good nose-mouth correspondence and it leaves the mouth pleasantly clean. HARVEST TIME: beginning of October. WINEMAKING: the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled steel vats. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are spontaneous. The whole ageing process is made in a reductive environment and without addition of sulphur dioxide. AGING: 10 months in steel and in a reductive environment. In bottle for at least 3 months. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14% vol. PRODUCTION: 2000 bottles SERVING TEMPERATURE: 15˚C COLOR: ruby red with violet reflections, very intense. NOSE: a very direct, intense and vinous bouquet. On entry it has a very intense ripe cherry notes leading to a following hematic aroma. TASTE: in the mouth is fresh and crisp. The tannins are young and vibrant but mature and well balanced by the body and the alcohol. Good taste-olfactory persistence. After swallowing the soft fruits aroma comes immediately back to mouth. WINEMAKING: The grapes are harvested in boxes, then are entirely pressed very softly.The must decants at 5°C for 48 hours. Fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks at 18°C for almost 20 days. Malolactic fermentation happens naturally in steel tanks. AGING: In steel tanks for 3 months with frequent pumping over. In bottle for 2 months. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.50% vol. PRODUCTION: 13.000 bottles. SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10°C. COLOR: Bright yellow with greenish reflections. NOSE: intense and clean-edged, with balsamic notes such as mint and eucalyptus that linger on, along with aromas of fresh tropical fruit. PALATE: smooth, with an agreeable warm sensation, balanced by a refreshing crispness.  Really long finish tanks an important minerality and saltiness. The must, dense and rich in sugar is fermented, without control of temperature, inside hermetically closed oak and chestnut barrels.
